Reliquary Triptych – Filigree Fish
My filigree fish came from Peru via Miss Birdie who was in Granmama's bridge club in Parrott. Her brother, Malcolm McKinnon, was my great grandfather's only business protégé and could easily afford world cruises and curios.
Our family and friends always brought presents for both little girls. Eve chose the smaller fish, which still has a tail after forty-five years. In my permanent collection are three gold filigree earrings from pairs we teenagers were given to share. Eve lost their mates and twenty years later decreed I could take my turn forever. What else would you expect from the Queen of the Universe?
